Louvre 7

If you love louvre, take a look at this week’s key look for Modern Country Living. Our new Hudson range is beautifully simple but its oak louvre panels add a little touch of texture to any room. The Hudson Range was designed in house and made exclusively for The Cotswold Company by our craftsmen.

Here’s why we think it’s the perfect addition to any kitchen or dining area…

Super Storage

With 3 cupboards and 3 drawers, our sideboard is the perfect place to stowaway dining items. All cutlery and crockery can be arranged and stored neatly together in this cabinet, while the top surface makes for handy additional serving space when the table is crowded.

Classic Cup Handles

This kind of style has been around for an age, but seems to have become a consistent part of contemporary interiors over the last 5 years. With amazing Kitchen designers such as DeVol championing this this kind of handle, it’s becoming ever more present in the ranges we design in house.

Louvre Layers

The louvre layers are great at adding some depth and texture to your interior space. If you’re buying a larger item, like a 3 door sideboard, louvre is a great way of breaking up the surface area and drawing the eye to the piece, which is perfect if you want it to become a focal point for a room.

Beautiful Oak Grain

Investing in Oak is always money well spent. The character you get from the grain of a piece like this is second to none. You can really see the age and life-cycle of each bit of timber used across the furniture and its always exciting to own a slice of that history.

STYLING; Go Bold with Colour

The fantastic thing about Oak is that it can really blend with and soften a bold backdrop. If you’re wanting to be a little more daring with colour, oak and natural wood finishes can give you a great cushion for experimentation. We’ve teamed our Hudson piece with vivid green paneling and accessorised with some neutral ceramics and glassware.

Our Buyer Vicky Says…

“When we developed this piece we really wanted to create something that was elegant and simplistic. Something that wouldn’t look out of place in a French Farmhouse. The louvre doors offer a sort of ‘relaxed’ style, the kind of design that will instantly sit comfortably in its surroundings. The slim dimensions of the 3 door sideboard make it perfect for the modern home, while still managing to deliver that classic country feel we love. Also the clean oak is lacquered to really bring out the natural beauty of the oak’s knots and patterns”
